Weather Dock: Desktop forecast App Reviews

I was searching for an “accuweather” app, like the one on the iPhone. This came up and the title was partially cut off. I saw “Accu” and jumped to the wrong conclusions. Anyway, I imediatly purchased the 2.99 upgrade. I got all kinds of errors. I redownloaded the App the upgrade button went away but I didn’t see the mentioned 7 days. I then saw a button in preferences that said restore purchases. At this time more weird things on the screen, I was able to quit the app and now, after restarting, it does what it is supposed to. I do like this app now. It is a quick way to see the weeks weather. It is a shame this app is so buggy at the beginning; they seem like they would be easy bugs to fix. Generally my complaints are after install not during. I have never seen bugs like these before in any App Store app. So, eventually, this app does what is says it does.

Sometimes it shows up, other times not. Very flukey! I wish that it was like the old version that I used to use with ox9.

It’s okay Weather Dock App, I like you, you don’t have to keep asking me for a postive review. Way more useful than a puppy but it does require a lot of attention. As long as it keeps being useful and stays housebroken then I highly recommend it. Just realize, it won’t let you forget it’s there.

I like it because my daugther can easily access it when she is getting her clothes out for the following day. So far so good.

Works good very accurate awnesome layout

I got this because Clear Day never had the right temperature on my menu bar. Of course, Weather Dock doesn’t put the temp on the menu bar at all, but it’s easy enough to check it on the dock. (But PLEASE, put the temperature in larger numbers! I can look out the window to see if it’s clear, but I don’t like squinting to read the temp. Okay, I’m 72, but I am wearing glasses.) The forecast info is just what I expected and the dropdown hourly forecast is a nice trick. In short: attractive, accurate, informative. I bought the upgrade to give them some support.

It helps me understand what weather is coming on the next day, but earlier tells me where it comes from…. The great app is good for me to prepare what I need to wear. Thanks!

Love the app. Paid for the upgrade and it won’t download. Please fix this or refund my money.

Weather is available in so many apps. This one pesters you, stalks you, and annoys the living snot out of you. If they would have had a modicum of patience and hit me up say once a week I probably would have paid hte 3 bucks. But no. Either pay the $3 or walk away, don’t make your life miserable with this nonsense.

My ignorance caused problems but the staff at WD corrected them ASAP. Love the 7 days display.

I hope the developer continues to write updates. I have this on my MAC desktop and my MAC lap top. It works great! I wish they would make the same app for iphone and ipad. If they do I wasn’t able to find it. Its simple and not complicated.

I had that stupid insulting woman weather app, probably perfect for the poster that posted before me. This is an app made for adults, and quit whining about spending a few dollars here and there on apps. Nice app, does the job, get’s a thumb up from me.

I was looking for something like the Weather Channel app for my Mac. You have to buy this one to get the euqivalent of the WC free app.

Love this app. It’s simple, and has a beautiful interface. And if there ads, I guess I am immune to them, because I never see any!

The animated icon reflects whether cloudy or sunny, but one has to click to acquire the temperature or other forecast details. It would be nice if the icon also reflected the temperature without having to click on the icon to open. I don’t use the app often and it is informative and adequate when I do use it, but would be kind of nice if I could look up and see the temperature if I wanted to do so like I do the time. Just a thought.

I like this app because it is simple and easy to get the weather information I need, when I need it.

The app seems to have morphed into its own adware. Everytime I open my computer I have to reject the app’s begging me to upgrade to the “pro” version. Zero clicks to get the instant weather and temperature has degenerated into constant clicks to get rid of the begging-for-money window. I have no idea why it started, but if I have the app open on my dock it does that. If it’s not on the dock I don’t hear from it, but then it becomes like the weather app that comes with my computer. Time to delete….

Always accurate. Not just for home, but anywhere I may be travelling to. Highly reccomend it!
